Discover the Secrets of Truly Effective Psoriasis Scalp Treatment

Holistic approach to psoriasis scalp treatment and what you should do at homeWhilst Psoriasis is, for the most part at least, a condition that you are going to be ‘stuck’ with for the rest of your life; it is also a condition which is actually fairly easy to treat. In fact; if you identify the right psoriasis scalp treatment then it is highly likely that you will be able to keep those symptoms at bay to the point where they are not going to pose too much of a problem. On this page I want to talk to you about a variety of different scalp psoriasis home remedies. It is worth trying out as many of these as possible. After all; it means that you are more likely to find something that works absolutely perfect for you.

Olive Oil

This is perhaps the most popular psoriasis scalp treatment for use in the home. This is obviously because the vast majority of people should actually have some olive oil at their disposal. This treatment is best for those who already have scales starting to appear on their scalp. All you need to do is rub about a quarter of a cup of olive oil into the scalp. You can leave this in overnight and remove it in the morning with your shampoo.

Purchase some Apple Cider Vinegar (you should be able to purchase this from just about any supermarket out there. You can then mix it up with some water. The next step is to gently rub it into the area where you are suffering from the psoriasis. Most people leave it in place for a couple of hours before they decided to wash it out. You could leave it in place overnight if you wish however. It is going to be just as effective. Again; this is a treatment which is only really going to be effective when you are already suffering for a psoriasis flare-up.

Chamomile Tea Rinse

Whilst I am suggesting Chamomile Tea here you can also use green tea if you prefer. Both are going to have pretty much the same impact on your psoriasis. For this treatment you should boil the kettle and pour the water over two chamomile tea bags. Let them soak for about 10 minutes before taking them out. You should attempt to let them cool down slightly. This will take a further ten minutes. Once that is done you can simply place the tea bag on the area affected by the psoriasis. This is a very quick and simple psoriasis scalp treatment.

Aloe Vera

How to treat dry scalp with home remediesThis treatment is carried out in very much the same way as the olive oil treatment. The only real difference is that you are going to need to mix your raw aloe vera up with some water. You can then massage it into your scalp. If you are suffering from itching or inflammation then this psoriasis scalp treatment will quell it almost instantly.

Castor Oil

Placing a small amount of castor oil on the effective area is probably one of the most effective psoriasis scalp treatment out there. Your body will readily absorb the oil. This will stimulate collagen production which will help to repair your skin somewhat. In addition to this the castor oil will also help deliver moisture to the skin and even soften it up. The result here is that the symptoms will start to dwindle away pretty rapidly. Many people find that regular application of castor oil is all it really takes to ensure that their skin stays perfect.

Tea Tree Oil & Vitamin E

This is probably the ONLY natural treatment on this list which has been fully approved by the FDA as a psoriasis scalp treatment. This of course does not mean that the other treatments are bad by any stretch of the imagination. However generally speaking those products would never be marketed as a way in which to treat psoriasis but this one is. You are able to pick up this combination from your local health food store. Much in the same way as the previous treatments you have to gently massage it into the impacted area. You can then wash it off the next day. Many people find that this all that is required to reduce the impact of their psoriasis quite quickly. In fact; I know a number of people who are using tea tree oil on a daily basis to manage their symptoms.

Dead Sea Salt

You can find dead sea salt in a number of different products. This includes shampoos and creams. You can also purchase it in its raw form. As you can probably guess; Dead Sea salt is sourced from the dead sea. It is quite often used for a variety of different skin treatments due to its unique properties. If you use this then I can assure you that it is going to have a positive impact on your scalp psoriasis.

Mix a Quarter-Cup of Organic Oatmeal with Water

This is without a doubt one of my favorite treatments on the list. It is NOT because this treatment is going to eradicate the psoriasis for you. It is instead down to the fact that many people out there seem to underestimate the power of good old oatmeal. If you are suffering from a bit of an ‘itch’ attack with your psoriasis then I really do suggest that you find some oatmeal. You can then mix it up with a bit of water. Apply it directly to the part that is giving you grief and you will experience almost instant relief. Anybody who is suffering from psoriasis should always ensure that they have some oatmeal to hand. Trust me; it is going to work wonders for you.

Controversial Methods With Extraordinary Results

If you’ve been searching for the ultimate psoriasis scalp treatment, you need to know that the No More Dry Scalp method offers all of the secrets of truly effective psoriasis care.

Diet Plan

Healthy foods are the main antioxidantsThis is another one of the techniques that I really do suggest that you try. It is not so much as a psoriasis scalp treatment. It is more to ensure that you keep the symptoms from even appearing in the first place. Now; there are plenty of top diet plans out there for psoriasis so I am not going to go into too much depth here as I would not do it justice. Your main aim however is to eliminate the products which can lead to inflammation and the like from your diet. This includes dairy products. You then want to attempt to get more of those brilliant products into your diet which can actually help to combat inflammation. This means consuming more Omega-3. You can source this from oily fish and a wealth of other products. You will actually be surprised at the amount of impact that a good diet plan has on your psoriasis and thus I really do urge you to check it out.

Lifestyle Changes

Many people notice that their psoriasis is triggered by certain things in their life. For example; you may find that the symptoms tend to get worse when it is cold outside. Others may find that a high amount of humidity is the bane of their life. Some people are affected by certain foods, other people are not. One of your main tasks when you are suffering from psoriasis is to try and identify what your triggers are. You can then work incredibly hard to reduce the chances of those triggers occurring. This is probably the most effective psoriasis scalp treatment on this list simply because the vast majority of people who identify their triggers tend not to suffer from the problem quite so much. In fact I have known many people to control their psoriasis to the point where the symptoms hardly ever appear using this technique.

Coal Tar Products

When it comes to ‘medicated’ products coal tar shampoo and the like is often incredibly high upon this list. This product has been used for many years to treat psoriasis and it works remarkably well. The only downside to using coal tar products is that they smell…badly! Thankfully if you wash it off properly then that smell is pretty much going to disappear. You should be able to purchase products which contain coal tar from either your local health food store or your local pharmacy.

Salicylic Acid

This is not a treatment as such. However I really do suggest getting hold of some salicylic acid if you can. You can normally purchase it in gel form. All you need to do is rub it into your scales gently. This will loosen them up and thus make them a great deal easier for you to remove.

Medicated Shampoos

Medicated shampoos tend to contain a combination of salicylic acid and coal tar amongst a whole host of other ingredients (although you can purchase them without the coal tar if you wish). You would use these shampoos in much the same way as you would any other shampoo. You would not necessarily be using it every day. In fact; it is only really suggested that you use them when your symptoms are at their worst. It is incredibly effective though.
